From fragmented legacy systems to an AI-powered platform serving 50K+ patients with 100% HIPAA compliance.

A mid-sized pharmaceutical company needed to modernize their patient engagement infrastructure and implement AI-driven clinical decision support — all while maintaining strict HIPAA and FDA compliance. We built a unified platform that transformed how their clinical teams interact with patient data.
Our client is a growing pharmaceutical company operating across the US and Europe, managing clinical trials, patient engagement programs, and regulatory compliance workflows. Their existing infrastructure was a patchwork of legacy systems — disconnected databases, manual reporting, and paper-based compliance audits.
We conducted a thorough audit of their existing systems, mapped data flows, and designed a microservices architecture that could unify their fragmented infrastructure. We chose AWS for HIPAA-eligible hosting and designed the data layer with encryption at rest and in transit.
Our team built the unified platform using React for the frontend and Python/Django for the backend. We implemented a secure API gateway, role-based access controls, and a centralized patient data store with PostgreSQL. Real-time data sync replaced the old batch processing approach.
We deployed TensorFlow-based models for clinical risk scoring and built a RAG pipeline that allows clinicians to query patient histories using natural language. The AI agents automatically flag compliance risks in communication logs and suggest evidence-based interventions.
We implemented comprehensive audit logging, automated compliance report generation, and set up continuous security monitoring. The platform passed its first HIPAA audit with zero findings — a first in the company's history.
“Inventiple didn't just build us a platform — they transformed how our entire clinical operation works. The AI capabilities have given our physicians tools they didn't know were possible, and the compliance automation alone has saved us thousands of hours.”
